Dr. Robyn Blatt

General Dentist with special interest in dentistry for children

Dr. Robyn Blatt, with over 25 years of dental expertise, is known for her commitment to patient care and comfort. She graduated from York University, received her dental degree from the University of Western Ontario and she became proficient in pediatric dental care after completing a residency at the Hospital for Sick Children and working in a pediatric dental clinic for seven years. Dr. Blatt is a general dentist who enjoys treating patients of all ages. She also holds a fellowship from the Oral Surgery Academy for General Dentists. Outside of work, she enjoys family time, the outdoors, travel and is a passionate hockey fan.

Blatt Family Dentistry Liberty Village (Parkdale)

Blatt Family Dentistry formally known as Sunnyside Dental Centre has been servicing the Parkdale community for over 60 years. Dr. Ralph Blatt Senior purchased the building and practice back in 1958 from another dentist. Blatt was drawn to Toronto’s west end back in the days when he worked delivering television for Simpsons-Sears Limited during school. After graduating, Blatt said he didn’t want to be in the suburbs treating only children and families so Parkdale it was. Years later he was joined by his twin daughters Robyn, and Allison Blatt. Blatt Family Dentistry is currently owned and operated by Dr. Robyn Blatt with the same mission and philosophy like her dad.

Through our bilingual capabilities, we can appropriately provide for the diverse cultural background of the families we have the privilege of serving. In addition to English, our dentists and staff speak a variety of languages, including Tagalog and Tibetan.

My wife and I came to Blatt maybe twenty years ago, after frustration at other practises. The draw was that BFD had remained firmly planted in the same location with the same small roster of dentists and administrative staff for decades.Elsewhere, we were seen by a new dentist or hygienist every visit, always having to re-explain any issues or concerns. It was frustrating and pointless.Blatt was —and remains— the opposite. It’s stable; everyone who works there is kind; they are wonderful with children; and while they are nothing if not proactive and professional, they don’t push unnecessary procedures. Each for their own reasons, Pam, Mechelle, Pasang, and Robyn are why my family remains at Blatt Family Dentistry. Blatt began as a family practise and continues to operate as a family practise— not as a patient factory.We have happily recommended Blatt to friends who have been unsatisfied elsewhere, and to those new to the neighbourhood. All of them have been happy, loyal BFD clients ever since.

I've been going here since I was a kid. From then to now the staff have always been consistently welcoming, warm, and helpful! The dental hygienists and doctors are extremely professional yet kind and non-judgemental. They always explain to me what they are looking at/for during appointments so I'm well informed of my teeth health! I've had cavities, a root canal, a night guard made (really everything under the sun) and I've always been happy with the service. The office is modern, clean, and every room has a TV where you can choose your desired show/movie! I would highly recommend Blatt Family Dentistry to anyone looking for a dentist!
